About Susan G. Komen® Southern Arizona Affiliate (“Komen Southern Arizona”)
Komen Southern Arizona is part of the world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting breast cancer. Donations from the annual Race for the Cure®, and other events help educate and raise breast cancer awareness, as well as fund breast cancer screening and treatment assistance to health centers and clinics that treat under-insured and uninsured women in the six-county region of Southern Arizona. For every dollar raised, 75 cents net stays in Southern Arizona, and 25 cents funds international breast cancer research.
Company History
Since Komen Southern Arizona’s founding in 1999, over $8.6 million has been raised and granted for life saving education, screening, treatment and research. During the last five years more than 20,000 people have benefited from these programs.
