Great Hearts Academies is a non-profit charter school management organization dedicated to improving public education in the Phoenix metropolitan area by developing a network of excelling preparatory academies (grades K to 12). As of the 2011-2012 academic year, Great Hearts operates 13 schools on 10 campuses, serves 5,000 students, has over 400 employees, and a $41 million annual operating budget. Great Hearts is a high-growth, entrepreneurial organization dedicated to introducing competition into the educational marketplace to inspire reform and excellence. Great Hearts is also deeply committed to the traditional, Classical liberal arts values of truth, beauty, and goodness, the verum, pulchrum, and bonum on each school’s crest.
